Summary

What’s Kontrol Energy about?

The company embraces technology like IoT, Cloud, and SaaS to provide customers with software, hardware, and service solutions to help them manage energy and air quality and monitor emissions.

One such software is called SmartSite. It delivers up-to-date data on clients' buildings, empowering them to make informed financial and operational decisions. The system also had a half-completed sister, SmartSuite, that focuses on apartment buildings.

Our cue to enter the scene

Kontrol Energy needed us to analyze SmartSuite's UX/UI and offer points to improve it and build a straightforward design for SmartSite.

The latter had also to balance two tasks — it should align with the sister system UX-wise but have a unique color palette to be visually distinctive and avoid confusing users.

Our team took on a challenge and kicked off the design process. We led the project through in-depth research and designed SmartSite web pages and sections from the sign-up to building roll-up, status, and system details that allow users to manage energy, get saving data, track KPIs, etc.
